Sacramento, CA – A name that’s an address, and a place where upscale, casual dining atmosphere meets a family- friendly selection of American style cooking with a modern twist. November 13 marks the arrival of Ten 22, at 1022 Second Street, as Old Sacramento’s newest restaurant.
Located in the heart of Old Sacramento, Ten 22 features outdoor patio seating for 100 and accommodates 190 inside, making it one of the destination district’s roomier venues for a night out, or a relaxing lunch. Exposed brick walls, tile flooring, plenty of booths and a high ceiling accentuate an interior feel that promises a sophisticated, yet casual experience.
The patio centers on a fire pit that will take the edge off crisp nights. The interior design creates a variety of spaces, each with its own slightly different personality. A banquet room can be reserved for business gatherings, or for enjoying a sports game on a 60-inch plasma TV. An open kitchen provides the center of attention for a central area, while the front welcomes Ten 22 guests with a bar perfect for a happy hour gathering or meeting a couple friends.
Sneak previews already predict what some of the buzz will be. The stone-hearth pizza oven will churn out thin-crust pizza, braised baby back ribs and other well-enjoyed favorites. Both the dinner and lunch menus take a creative approach to traditional dishes. For lunch, you can try a Rockin’ Roast Beef Dip sandwich or the Salmon and Arugula Salad. Return for dinner and choose between slow braised Baby Back Ribs with garlicky smashed potatoes or the Parsley Pesto Grilled Salmon.
While Ten 22 prides itself on catering to refined tastes, room is set aside for kids on both the lunch and dinner menus. Ten 22 wants the kids to enjoy and explore the dining experience. There is a special “Sidekicks and Kids” section offering home-made mini corn dogs on a stick, a smaller portion of our famous ribs and some new options for the kids to enjoy.
For beer connoisseurs, instead of a quick sampling of the usual suspects, Ten 22 will pour an expansive selection of 24 ice cold draught beers that guarantee a match with just about every taste. Accompanying the beer selection will be a wine list, featuring California wines with emphasis on wines of the region. Of course a full bar with specialty cocktails is available as well.
“The menu is adventurous, but comfortable. It offers a new twist on old classics and invites you to rediscover them,” said Terry Harvego, of The Harvego Family Restaurants.
The Harvego Family Restaurants also includes The Firehouse Restaurant, renowned nationally for its wine list and well-established regionally as Sacramento’s premier a fine-dining destination. Both the Firehouse and Ten 22 share a dedication to dining as an exceptional experience in cuisine, companionship and uncompromising service and quality.
